From the union numbers, very few people bust anything in initial training. The pass rates for the oral and check ride are in the high 90s.

98.5% make it through initial. >97% on the first try. 5% have to get extra training or repeat an event. The training is solid here but you’ll have to put in work. It’s not spoon fed

If there’s a NK/B6 tie up hopefully it’s B6 training culture. My old regional made me learn all the Captain stuff as a new-hire. You’re gonna forget it immediately after leaving the schoolhouse and never use it until years later when you get the upgrade.

Thanks - PSA made me learn both too only to forget the captain after hitting the line. Made the sims and flight training sessions quicker though so I get it. Just don’t want to waste time learning something not useful.

None of the flows are that difficult, it’s not like an RJ when you reconfigure half the panel each stage of flight.

Will you forget most of it, yes, but it will also walk you through the overhead panel and pedestal for which is how the oral is structured.

At an AA WO right now - I get what you’re saying but LCCs are a good product and my version of QOL does not involve wide body flying or ever commuting and Spirit works for me. I have no desire to wait for flow at American or to stay here a day longer than necessary to. I have a few friends at Spirit with mostly good things to say - save the usual complaints.
