Third week is a good handful of hours each day. Also basically the entire course is self study with an instructor to help clean up the edges.

Study with your sim partner, study over the weekend, and go outside for walks/breaks.

How much self-studying is the week at home during week 3 of the training? Also how much time does it take to learn the flows, memory items, and limitations before you show up to INDOC?
They give you a recommended study path for the days at home. I was able to get a module or two ahead and get done early on Friday, but plan on roughly 6-8 hours per day. There’s zero systems training at the school house, so pay attention.

It took me a long time to get the flows down for some reason. It just depends.

What do you define as a long time to memorize the flows? Like 2 or 3 weeks?

If you’re trying to interview somewhere else during your week home its definitely doable. I know multiple people who did.

Flows took me about two weeks before I had them down cold. Have them down before training starts and that’ll make training much more enjoyable.

If you’re already type rated in another jet you should remember how long it took to learn your flows. It’s about the same here with the exception that you are expected to fly from both left and right seats so you need to know flows both sides including call outs. 2-3 weeks is reasonable.

You’ll be able to high five yourself coming into ORD via Vacancy and out of ORD via displacement.
