I guess Memphis has a modicum of tourist appeal, but I think we’re in there to take people to places that appeal to everyone.

I've been in downtown MEMa couple times. Not terrible. Good BBQ and it's kinda nice along the river. There's a cool Bass Pro Shop built inside a pyramid. At one of my previous airlines they put us in the Sheraton.

Convincing pilots to stay, especially FO’s has always been a challenge for management (excluding Covid years till now). They are adults, let them fix it. MIA also MIA is a big focus for management lately. I think it will be MIA and IAH or maybe MIA first, then IAH a month later. But, bottomline is that management wants more bases asap, we'll find out soon

DEN has probably the most commuters in our system with well over 100 now.
Management wants bases where people want to live. Basing pilots in DEN would eliminate scheduling from having to continually deal with commuting issues out of Denver. New gates are coming. |
Wasn't the word that the next base will be 'east coast'? I'm willing to bet there's more east coast commuters, ATL alone has a high number of FAs and Pilots. There was also that period right before the vid when recruiting brought on alot of DC area FAs.
