You took the Halon bait. Go back to bed and get more sleep.

Anyone in here recently left Spirit after holding a line in base? I have a couple of legacy interviews coming up, but my life is really, really good thanks to our scheduling rules. I pretty much just drop everything, hang out with my newborn and pick up xlists.

Has anyone made the switch after living the good life here? Was it worth it? Any insight you might be able to offer would be appreciated.

If you're talking as an FO, absolutely leave. As a line holding captain, lots of variables...

As someone who left feel free to pm me and we can talk if you want.

Im just amazed you were able to drop anything. At least in LAS the FO side is solid red most months.

I don't know the answer but I am also interested if anyone else left recently. Been a CA here for quite a while and have the opportunity to leave, just not sure if it's the right move.

Why would you leave? Everyone's circumstances are different but that sounds like the dream.

Yeah. It's great. It's mostly a case of inconveniencing myself in the moment for the (hopeful) benefit of my future self. One of the biggest driving factors is not wanting to live in Chicago forever and our other bases not doing a lot to get me excited.

The other is that I don't think the dropping everything and listing premium gravy train will last forever, a JCBA might kill our scheduling rules and this might be the only chance I'll ever have to jump with no 121 PIC.

In response to the other guys, I'm ORD FO. No idea how I'm getting so successful on the drops. I bid weekends off so I'm not trying to drop over a weekend and that's it.

Do the interviews, get the CJOs and then weigh out which works best for you where you want to live. And yes you’re right, no telling how long your particular gravy train and flexibility will last, and of course it all disappears the second you upgrade too.
