Almost as many new pilots will have been hired between the last contract and this coming negotiation as were here to vote in the last one.

Like it or not, it’s an entirely different pilot group. Many of those come from corporate and military and potentially regionals that didn’t have a negotiation during their time there. Talk to the guys you fly with, let them know what to expect.

I do talk sometimes, but am also self aware that I may come across as a little too negative. I've even said something to the effect of "At what point do I stop saying that I voted no?" I'm aware that I have a somewhat tin foil hat view of how our last round went down.

To be fair (Ahtoo be faaaiiiirrr) I am indeed reaping the benefits of our contract, and am quite happy with my pay and QOL. I just feel that... well, I've said it a million times already.

I expect this round will be no different. Maybe our leverage is slightly better *today* but a lot can change in the next year. We know that. And Management knows that.

I would venture to say the vast majority have apps out if you under 2 years here if for no other reason than they had them out prior to coming here.

Now how many would jump ship if one of the big three called would be interesting.

FEDEX needs 500PIC and UPS 1000 before theyll even consider your app. Guess it depends if you have PIC from a prior gig.

UAL is hiring with zero TPIC. 2000 total turbine time is all they are requiring and interviewing with right now. Regional FOs are getting the call now.

As far as how many, a friend that recently interviewed at United said that there were 3 Spirit pilots in his interview group.

In talking to all of the airlines at RTAG and to the recruiters on their online sessions that they have been doing, any application that has not been updated in the last 4-6 months is considered "dead". To be brought in for an interview, you must have updated in the last 30 days or less. Some want it updated every 14 days or less.

Latest vacancy bid at United has the most junior CA award at 8 months on property. 1,070 or so vacancies, 130+ WB FO slots unfilled. Fedex has 757 CA in MEM hired in August 2021. I planned on staying with Spirit, but this is hard to pass up. I went ahead and put my stuff in at the big 3 this morning. It sounds like they like Spirit guys too. I wouldnt mind staying, but if they call me and offer CJO, Ill probably take it. Its probably stupid to not atleast apply and see what happens.

BTW... I heard almost 35 have left the first 15 days of Dec, thats a big dam number! HAHA
