Even given Regional airlines at the moment, though, aren't all their giant pay raise contracts on all 2-3 terms, including SkyWest; and then it reverts back?
Negative, Skywests is for the entire 5 year contract if voted in.

Skywest is through 2026. AA WOs are the only ones on the two year term.

And that SkyWest “agreement” can’t be undone by the company?

Is SAPA still 100% funded by SkyWest Airlines?

The real risk isn’t that your regional - whichever your regional is - reneges on a contract. The real risk is your regional not being around to fulfill the contract.

We are not talking about risk. We are addressing that a SkyWest deal “good” for 4 years is as solid as a 5 year olds allowance, it can go away any time SkyWest decides they don’t need to pay it to keep pilots.

The entire Regional pay raises is a stop gap that will go away as quickly as it came, once hiring slows at the legacy carriers. But don’t get me wrong, I love it right now for the lack of applicants coming to Spirit.

As a legacy pilot, I wouldn’t be too happy that management is giving historic raises to regional feed while they drag their behinds at the legacy level

You really believe that? They do when the company files for bankruptcy.

Cool story. That can be said for every airline. Stop spreading the false narrative that the rates revert back. Base rates do not revert back at any of these contracts, just the bonuses/double pay, etc.

Please quote me where I said "they revert back". My point, which you missed, is none of this is ironclad. Happy for the pilots and those carriers and our group, as we'll likely gain from their gains, but this "million dollars and a pony" charade the regionals are putting on has an expiration date. If you can't see that then you haven't been doing this long enough.
