Very very few CAs leave any airline when they are senior enough to hold a line. Historically, the break-even on going to a new job is just too long. But it’s a weird world these days. United has openings that amount to DEC positions in some of their less sought after NB domiciles.

Can’t be a Captain at UAL until you’ve been on property for at least a year.

Yeah but there's a reason those went unfilled, and as was pointed out they aren't in very desirable areas.
I'll bet you a buffalo nickel if UA had a Florida base it would be among the most senior if not THE most senior domicile, and would easily be 3x whatever our upgrade time is in FLL.
