Me too. Or if a recession is going to save them. Wonder how many DECs that $100K bonus for a two year commitment will pull out of the woods. For that matter, you may see active senior FOs from one regional giving notice and jumping ship to a competitor.

we are in interesting times…

Almost 500m reasons for why it gets approved. This is the worst kept secret around, of course it gets approved

Right on. I know what you’re getting at but you clearly didn’t take a second realize that I’m pointing out exactly what our NC has said. They aren’t asking for more than Alaska, if you think they are, you haven’t got a clue. So if me saying I’d settle for Alaska is some give away, it’s not and you haven’t been following along.

Fine and dandy and if they’re not they may as well start over.

Did they say something about this? I guess everyone trying to justify their position isn't surprising. What is silly is this effort considering in a year Spirit won't exist.

This is the first step in a long process to “building our legacy”. Boost our pay in the form of a LOA, then hammer out a JCBA or CBA. It was never to get industry leading pay before the JCBA. Sure, if management gets desperate enough and industry leading pay happens, great! But our NC is not holding out for that at this step. If you think that’s not gonna work call your rep, I’m sure they’d love to hear your thoughts🥱

I think the only reason the Spirit pilots don’t already have a letter of agreement with significant raises for all is because your negotiating committee is taking their time and making the gains you so richly deserve.

Time is on your side.

Apparently AS got a lot of QOL improvement with those cr@p rates. Supposedly, we are only getting pay rates. No reason to accept AS rates.

Yea, I hear you, it’s a good point. If management wants to give us AS +, great, but it doesn’t sound like they’re anywhere close to there yet. So it depends on how desperate they get, but we don’t have the luxury of holding out for 2-3 years assuming the merger is approved. If we hold out too long we get nothing until the JCBA is done. No reason we can’t get a solid increase now, and then hit a home run with the JCBA (that’s the NC’s focus)
