Well then it’s really not all that big of news then and it’s not a reflection of management recognizing the signs of the times.

The F9 contact allowed management to increase 1st year pay to 98% of second year pay.

They can up 1st year pay even further if they want

Oh, they don’t want, they have to. Just like they have had to pay for lodging during training.

$75/hr isn’t crap and won’t achieve anything. It might get a few more people in the door to get a A320 type for their legacy app, but that’s it. It will do nothing for retention.

met 2 RAH pilots (who bumped me from JS) in MCO. Both had CJOs to F9, crickets from legacies. both were going to F9 as type school to get to the legacies.
we all knew that was happening, but meeting these two live - and the smiles they had as they felt they were gaming the system - priceless

well not priceless for F9

Well, there in for a rude awakening because there isn’t any guarantees. Unless they’re Female or non-Caucasian. Still takes just as much hustle to get out of the ULCCs as it does straight from a regional. Job Fairs, meet and greets, LORs, academic achievements, extracurricular activities, etc. Being stuck at a ULCC isn’t as bad as a Regional by far. Still a million dollar career.

Uhhh this is absolutely not true. You do still have to prep for the interview though, I’ll give you that.
