In all honesty, I apologize, but I still stand by the statement you can’t just get typed and dip out. It takes a lot of work yet still once here unless you’ve put the work in prior to arriving. Most I’ve talked to who have been offered invites have hit the Job Fairs. Which takes a huge sacrifice especially on first year pay and schedule. I do believe a diverse cockpit is a better cockpit. Now about those displacement bids…

I didn’t even think what I said was racist or sexist I was just stating a simple fact they can get out of here fast! No need for them to stay here. I didn’t throw any name calling around or lay claims to what side of the fence they’re on. Don’t have to be a certain demographic for that.

You know what the most embarrassing thing is? It’s the Spirit threads on APC. Some of the most immature, unprofessional, trailer park trash on here. Like a bunch of regional pilots that are still 23 years old and couldn’t leave the regionals behind.
I read the other threads, major and legacy threads and by far, Spirit has the worst. Spirit definitely earns its reputation as a bottom feeder. Constantly the same dick slapping going on here with the same 12 names.

That’s definitely an argument against the language. Personally, I don’t think it helps with attrition at all and only slightly with recruiting. The upside other than the obvious more money is now it just becomes easier to make year 2 and up higher with % increases. It was free language. Added zero cost to the overall initial proposal.

In 2021 there is an estimated 164,000 active ATP certificates in the states.
In 2021 7600 of those are women.
Rough math 4.6% of ATPs are women. Curious to see the percentage of women in the flight decks at legacy airlines and see if it’s more or less than 4.6%
I clearly don’t care, more women in the profession has been something that’s been lagging for years. But you can’t just say “it’s all white males” without taking the numbers of all sides.

Fair enough it takes allot of cajones to own up to that mistake! And your right it takes allot of work to get to the majors sometimes less but the effort must be made. There is no regional to NK to United unofficial flow through program. I think anyone coming to NK or F9 or B6 etc who think thats the case is probably in for a rude awakening.

What percentage of the population of airline pilots is other than white males? Of course any single class at any single airline that you stuck your head in would be filled with white guys. It’s not because of discriminatory hiring practices. Airlines actively recruit women, LGBT, & black pilots. I make no judgement on that. It’s simply a fact.
