Even Bendo said to do what you have to do. He didn’t sound very optimistic.

The pulled reduction bid isn’t really a big secret and s lot of guys have heard about it getting pulled.

We will all find out soon enough but this was the latest info from the last time a reduction was discussed a few months back.
Exactly what I heard to. Bendo had a call with Union reps in Jan and told them ORD was too big by 200 pilots and to expect a base reduction bid in the near future. I am guessing they delayed it knowing about opening two bases and are just going to roll it into one massive base distribution bid.

Sooooooo….I have a class date early April and I live in Chicago. One of the main reasons I was excited to come to Spirit was the ORD base. Sounds like that’s not gonna happen. So do stay at my regional in base or get used to the commuter life? 🤷‍♂️

What seat are you in at your regional?? I am in the exact same situation and am leaning towards staying at my regional to build some TPIC.

Too many changes right now at NK and it doesn't give me the warm fuzzies.

You’re likely going to take a little over two years to financially recover by going to Spirit. With the crazy hiring and bonuses being thrown out, it might be worth it to risk it at the regional for a couple of years. Definitely a tough spot.

Year 2 at Spirit I'd make more. I just upgraded so probably would make around 80k this year if I stayed. I'm just a bit uncomfortable right now with all that's changing at Spirit. Seems like to the company is changing some large parts of the operation and I'm not on board with any of them.
