Thats because the union forced the company to backfill those positions. The only way they can shrink bases is through displacement bids, one of which is on its way.

Being displaced wouldn’t be all that bad if they provided enough flying for that base and you can hold that flying. I was displaced at my regional for a base opening and 25 bottom captains had to go and they had 2 whole lines the rest reserve. It was awful.

Did you notice in the first vacancy bid there were zero ORD or DFW awards? It wasnt until the union got involved that it changed. Do I think the number will be 200? Most likely not. That number will come down I'm sure. Combined with those at ORD that will voluntarily change their base to one of the new locations, I wouldn't really worry unless you are in the bottom 25% of FOs or CAs.

The real question is is the displacement bid here because they need to initially staff these bases and obv are losing people. Or so they actually for ex what to shrink Chicago as a business decision.

Remember just when you think you’ll be able to get back into ORD, we’ll have SLI and all those displaced F9 people will go ass blastin ya back to ATL.

where all have you applied? Still waiting to hear the answer to this. Surely you’re taking action instead of just being an APC emo ?
