Does NK have to be out of the merger agreement by either it being voted down or by voluntarily pulling out for the tender to go through? Trying to figure out what NKs play is here. Frontier is never gonna match the cash amount of JB. I have the feeling our board painted themselves into a corner.
If they don't have the votes for Frontier, as they clearly don't, I believe they may and try and stay independent, may try and convince the institutional shareholders that their independent plan is better then JB.
The Spirit BOD/management doesn't want to lose their jobs and big payouts. So they will fight JB right up until the institutional shareholders start to have them removed. If the shareholders never get to the point of trying to remove them, they may very well try and stay independent to save their executive jobs.
Or JB caves in to bigger buyouts.

With the large institutional share holders, I don’t even think that’s possible. I thought I read somewhere JB has 12% of shares now….after buying for the past 2 months.

I know they say stand alone if F9 doesn’t pass the vote. But, I think it’s clear that shareholders want more money from F9 or they want B6, they are not interested in stand alone with B6 offer on the line. And if F9 doesn’t up it’s offer significantly then Ted and BOD have to accept B6 or risk getting the boot.

Question is…. How much is it worth to Frankie to see JB fail if they don’t acquire NK

Thats the difference between your group and ours. We wish you no ill will either way. We have no say or control over this and quite frankly don’t even know if it’s good or bad for us. You guys on the other hand, one after another, come on here and predict JB’s failure blah blah desperate airline that’s going out of business etc etc. Real classy group you guys got ever there.
