Anyone get a phone call from 3rd Party JetBlue affiliate today? I got a call today from ‘JetBlue’ asking me to tender my shares. I told her I work for spirit and im an absolute NO. I told her To tell them to go knock on someone else’s door.. she chuckled and said she’s just the messenger.. curious if anyone else got the same ?
the ISS report largely pointed at the 200 million breakup fee from B6. Frontier countered with 250. So as of now spirit will get money if either deal falls thru.. that’s more or less even now ..
So do I want double my shares in potentially the 5th largest airline or do I wanna wait to see if I get $30 in 18-24 months?
as an employee I’m not willing to risk what may happen to my seniority for a $6.00 premium. I’ll play the long game and see what 2x shares gets me down the line .. easy choice .

The new frontier break up fee just highlights the NK boards failure to use the initial JB offer as leverage to secure a better offer from frontier.
It took a hostile takeover offer, and likely institutional investors tendering or threatening to tender, for frontier to even offer a break up fee. A fee neither airline even needs to offer. There are no grounds to deny a merger that creates the 5th largest company in an industry.

If you guys want to read into something, then…. why was it a “white” card offer from Spirit?? The blue card offer from JetBlue makes sense, but a white card from Spirit??? Maybe that means it’ll be Frontier branding with white planes?? Or, am I reading too much into it??
