The ULCC model works fine. As long as it can be staffed. That is the great challenge the ULCC’s face for the next 5-7 years.

But respectfully why would that be a challenge? I am told that the ULCC models can basically take on the world. (They are the future)

1 frontier and spirit merger and make mega ulcc

or

2 frontier watches JetBlue fail with spirit and still grows into a large ulcc.

So if that is all true and y’all are going to be super profitable why can’t you offer the best pay? Seems like you will already have the growth so why would there be an attrition problem?

No it’s either frontier or JetBlue at this point. (Not in a rude way)

I think we should vote for JetBlue instead.

Scott might be well served to not trash talk other airlines while his core domestic hubs are getting eaten, and his "premium" international product is frankly sub-par.

This might move the needle for Frontier.

I think that this may be a day late and several dollars short. An honest auction would have sent NK to the highest bidder. Now after the ISS evaluation report, opinions might already be made up.

Jetblue is poised to announce an increase to $43 per share tender offer Friday…. It’s going to come down to a last minute bidding war…EBay style.

The greatest pilot shortage/hiring spree in living memory skewing pay norms and contract expectations?

Kinda like how the ramper bidding war had all of us sitting off the gate waiting on marshalers while the ramp personnel jumped from vendor to vendor looking for the best pay.

You know the answer. And you know why our management is willing to churn through half the seniority list rather than pay another dime. They’re stingy bastards stuck in a mindset not current with the times, and won’t make a preemptive move because the cost benefit analysis on competitive pay versus pilot churn doesn’t yet favor the former.

Anyone get a phone call from 3rd Party JetBlue affiliate today? I got a call today from ‘JetBlue’ asking me to tender my shares. I told her I work for spirit and im an absolute NO. I told her To tell them to go knock on someone else’s door.. she chuckled and said she’s just the messenger.. curious if anyone else got the same ?

the ISS report largely pointed at the 200 million breakup fee from B6. Frontier countered with 250. So as of now spirit will get money if either deal falls thru.. that’s more or less even now ..

So do I want double my shares in potentially the 5th largest airline or do I wanna wait to see if I get $30 in 18-24 months?

as an employee I’m not willing to risk what may happen to my seniority for a $6.00 premium. I’ll play the long game and see what 2x shares gets me down the line .. easy choice .
