Stop looking in the rear view mirror. How long did it take you to stop visiting the regional forums when you came to spirit. You’ll we fine and the people at spirit will be fine. Get over it. Move on.

Not very observant… or honest. Will there be a post titled: BENDO WAS WRONG and a list of account names who said otherwise when NK closes. I doubt it.

Did you read the original post? It had everything to do with naming people that have come on here weekly shouting about spirits down fall. It had nothing to do with anyone leaving. No one and I do mean no one, cares about the people leaving and proving them wrong. Everyone and I do mean everyone is just thinking about how lucky we are to have made it another day/week and still employed.

Dishonest post. Plenty has been said about “purging” spirit how we will all regret our choices blah blah blah. Let’s not pretend one side is pure as the driven snow. Be honest with yourself here is a quote off the good things are coming our way. There are hundreds similar.

“no one and I mean no one” well i guess that was dishonest and you just admitted it, I appriciate that. Quit clutching your pearls and actually read what people are saying. Both sides threw their stones.

In just a few hours it will be 2026 and I’m proud to announce, Kirby was wrong! We are still here and more resilient and determined than ever. Kirby tried everything to put us out of business from mirroring our à la cart business model, undercutting prices on our routes, obsessively bad mouthing us, failed attempt to purchase targeted assets and last but not least teaming up with JetBlue to drive our FLL yields down. Well, we’re still here.
I’m so proud of this “down with the ship” pilot group. 2026 is going to be a great year for us!
Below is the list of the relentless “Spirit is liquidating by the end of 2025” cheerleaders.
Sorry guys, you were wrong.

One of the reasons I left was the union, or lack there of. Every grievance I filed prior to 2023 I got paid extra. Every grievance I filed after 2023 I lost, due to incredible poor interpretation of the cba. I called my rep about a blatant contract violation, and he literally told me they were aware of the situation. But weren't going to do anything about it. It was hard leaving, not just because of seat, seniority, or pay, but because I liked working there. I just couldn't get past how both management and the union had given up.
I left after over a decade with less than a decade to go. I left before the first bankruptcy. I left because I did not see anything that management did was going to turn things around (I suggest you read Plan B, I mean "project Bravo"). I left because I lost faith in the few union reps that didn't leave (I lost 3 grievances in a row that were clear contract violations). I liked working there, and I am still on here because I like the pilots of Spirit, and want them to keep their jobs.
Having said all that, I do think Spirit is unlikely to survive on its own, and not an attractive merger partner. I think for most of the competition Spirit failing sounds better than buying Spirit. All of the ex-NK I talk to feel this way, none of us want NK to fail, just so we feel better about leaving. I feel validated in my choice with Spirit still around by being happy going to work.

I left because I didn't think it would get better. It was a hard decision because I will never get back the seniority I had. So when I see the current announcement it validates my decision. That is in no way a celebration of what the NK pilots are going through. Regardless if they chose to stay or could not leave, they did not deserve this. Hindsight is always better, and I should have left when I told everyone to leave. And I don't expect or deserve sympathy for that. Just because people are calling out the likes of Lincoln doesn't mean they are gloating about your situation. They are calling out his unwarranted optimism in the face of facts.

I am one of the ones called out in OPs post. Just went through my last 500 posts. Not only was the vast majority not related to NK, these are AFAIK the only ones that mentioned NK not surviving:
Just having the opinion that NK will not survive is not the same as cheering for it. And I think the vast majority of ex-NK feels this way.
