100%. It took PanAm and Eastern a decade to gut themselves by 50%, we did it inside 12 months. We have reached a point of no return. No one is going to buy what’s left. The other carriers are going to just let us die a quick death, and then pick at the carcass and take what they want. Franke will be the first Vulture to swoop in and bust is wallet out at the liquidation sale.

absolutely this. I don’t get why it is so taboo to come onto APC and tell people to jump ship. Even I waited too long but it took people around me telling me to get out to finally make the jump. I’m happy again, it’s nice to live in a world where I don’t have to worry if i will have a job at the end of the day. Movement is crazy right now at AA/UA and we will find ourselves in the left seat again hopefully soon. Let NK go, it’s over. Although not as many as most left but 9 years was not easy to give up. Still glad I did. Outside super low time FOs who shouldn’t have been at spirit to begin with if the industry was not hiring record low time guys and girls for a time, if you wanna leave you can. These “good guys and gals” that are getting shut down in interviews come across arrogant. That’s the only reason they aren’t getting picked up. A lot of that comes from not just letting NK go. Accept reality, move on

it’s hard to look away from a train going off the rails man…..especially with a post shoving it in everyone’s face that spirit made it into 2026. The confidence of the OP. I’m here for it. Also it would be a lie to say I don’t care completely. It’s gut wrenching what’s happing at spirit. I loved my time there. There is a level of arrogance from people still there who mocked those of us who left. Now it’s not looking good. Again I cant look away.

Honestly, Good for you for moving on. You should feel good about it, you probably made the right decision. No need to root for their demise just to nurse a grievance

Omg, I know right. So annoying for you that Spirit hasn’t liquidated. How frustrating that the OP had to rub that in your face.

It goes both ways…read the original post, calling people out by name, which is why we are here. Oh and also feeling validated they are still employed. Had people not been so militant about those of us moving on, no one would have cared. Again it goes both ways.

Sounds like you need to move on.
