Even if those guys manage to get their folks back in, the greater group will boot em right back out again. They need to realize that it's over and move on for what's best for the pilot group as a whole.

Its over Duggie. WE got you out and now the rest of your hypocritical thugs. You are all on the run now. Don't look back. Just go to your 'sanctioned' board and high five each other with your little fantasies.

I think you meant DFW, FLL, ORD, ACY, LAS, DTW, which I believe is probably right.

But, Spirit is growing so fast, if you don't get your choice of assignment on the first bid, I'd be real surprised if you didn't get it within a month or two of getting off of OE.

Correct, thanks Lobaeux (stinkin iPad autocorrect). I also agree with your assessment with the exception that it'll probably take a couple extra months to hold DFW. Either way, it's splitting hairs and you're right, junior guys will have their base of choice in relatively short order.

Cheers,
GP

No he was right. On the last few awards it looks like DTW is now the junior base. Use to be ACY and FLL.

Funny enough, for new hires on their first bid, they are tending to get DTW and ACY, but those are "placeholders" if you will, since they're still based in FLL until finished with ground school. By their second bid, which is usually close to the type ride/beginning of OE, they're getting their preferred base withy maybe the exception of LAS. The newhires into the other bases look like its for continued expansion.

I guess a real quick and easy way to take a look is to see where you fall in relation in the other bases on the system bid. And doing it that way, you may be right about DTW being junior. For instance, I'm 1/3 in FLL, DFW, LAS and ORD, 1/2 in ACY, but 1/4 in DTW. So maybe you're right about DTW now being the junior base.

Either way, I don't think anyone looking to come to Spirit needs worry about basing, since it's not unexpected for any base to be readily attainable for new FOs.

Captain slots on the other hand....

I agree with the above.
Your initial base depends on that month's openings.
It could be random.
Within a couple of bids, it evens out, and almost all bases will have an opening.
Relative seniority differs within a few months seniority.

FLL, DTW, ORD, DFW, LAS, ACY

Boy.....you've got issues! You know, over the years I've gotten over public perception of our airline, especially since most were simply shocked by an entirely different way to run an airline. But when the public can now view your (and handful of other morons that migrated from the "*****-board" to APC) ridiculous posts, I am truly embarrassed! "Got you all on the run"? ***?

Please.......stop! Your making us look like idiots! The sad part is that I don't think you realize what an embaressment you really are!

Duggie??? What's a Duggie?
