What's that average line in ACY for Aug. under the new contract Ram.... oh yeah it's not even 80hrs I would rather fly 90hrs and have 13 days off then fly 72 and still only have 13 days off

Put a little more beer in your glass so you can say it is half-full; life is more enjoyable then a half empty attitude

Yeah, hope I get one of those 89+ hour block lines in FLL in Sept. Don't worry though, they only use the 90 hour line build during the peak season. Of course Sept is traditionally the LOWEST block month of the year.

Half full / half empty, whatever. At least my schedule will be FULL. Hey furloughed guys, high-five an MEC member when you see them - maybe sometime in 1Q11!

Comming from several sources (one from MX) 2 more A320 this year after Sept's delivery.

Just got my line for September 75 hours block, 79 credit and only 13 days off. That stinks like always BUT I'm working the last 6 days of august and the first 6 days of september. If the road show and contract interpretation is correct those suckers are going to have to give me 6 days off. Let's see how this plays...

I think they can drop the first 6 days from this months trip
Or they can drop 6 days next month but build you back trips on the 5 & 6. Or even put you resv. Days.

That how I understand it. Current month they can only drop but the new month they can drop or add.

In this case would have 6 on than 4 off. Than 2 on. This would be if you bid the default option.

Fresco would be the guy to ask....

There are only 9 lines that are over 85 hours in Sept (less that 10%), and they coincidentally have the highest days off. None lower than 16. 4 have 3 or more weekends off. I don't know who likes that kind of crap. If I wasn't a commuter, sign me up!

It is my understanding that they can't assign days off in the middle like that. The days off have to come from the ends. As long as all of the days are touching, it is considered one block of flying even if it is 6 'day trips'. So in your case, they could give you all the days off in the old month, all the days off in the new month, or a combo from the outside ends with the caveat that if they split a pairing, they must split it as it goes thru your domicile. (They can't deadhead you home from anywhere, it must end with a flight into your domicile.) So it looks like you will be getting 6 days off pay protected from that group of flying. Of course you are free to then pick up flying if you wanted on those days off consistent with 30/7 limits. (At straight pay, of course.) Anyone else read it that way?
