, I just want to confirm this one. They called me asking IF I could start my class on oct 11. A short notice isn't it? But she also mentioned that only depends on instructor's availability.
Take care.

ACY or DTW?
Hey guys/girls,
I have a few questions. How is the commuting from ACY? What about crash pads? Apartments? Transportation there? Thank you in advance any help from you is well appreciated.
Those of you recalled previously, how is the training process??
Thank you.

You are basically going to need a car for transportation, unfortunately. Tropiano will give you a ride for $13 each way to and from the crashpad.
Crashpads usually run 150-250 and can be found. Hotels are hit and miss depending on the season and if its a weekend.
When i was called back, we were given recurrent gs of three days and then a warmup sim, check ride and then straight to the line. I think it's a bit more now, but someone else can answer that better than me.
Welcome back.

Commute is very easy if you live in a NK destination (i.e. FLL/MCO/TPA/MYR) otherwise it's going to either very time consuming or expensive with the drive to PHL and parking ($60/month).

I think there is one crashpad that I know of owned by a flight attendant. It's $25 a night up to $300 per month. It's apparently ok, with wifi,... We are also getting into winter. I am sure you can find now a good deal to stay at a place on a month to month basis if you get together with some of the other guys in your class.
Training is a breeze. Just review the CBTs and know your procedures.
