Anyone else noticed that in the Bullet Points from the DO (came out today dated 20th) the same line appears as in the last one.
"Furlough update: We need more drivers..." etc
The exact same line was in the last issue. I am wondering... he could have left it in there by mistake.

Im sure it was a mistake. Don't try to grab strings guys it will just disappoint you in the end.

There are usually 24 hard lines and 7 or so reserves. RSV A flies the most because most 3 day trips begin early am. There are usually about 10-15 lines with 2 and 3 day trips, but none are commutable. The rest of the lines are turns. Most of the crashpads are over by the beach, so a car is very helpful or else you will spend a small fortune on transportation.....esp. with an all turns line.

What an Earth are you guys doing there for 6 days in a row? That must suck. As much as I am wanting to go back, I am not looking forward to ACY.
Any hotels that are giving discounts? Is it feasible to team up with someone for a hotel to avoid paying for the van? Or is that way out of budget?

Yes. Call and negotiate. Deals range around 30 bucks (i.e. Empire Inn). The problem is no hotel offers transportation. Be ready to drive you car up there, buy a cheap airport car or pay 13 buck PER PERSON one way on Tropiano Limo Service.

If enough people are all over the place, maybe Good Ol' PO (or JC-not JEFF C, I know) and the union can work something out. I know they did it for a certain Captain there when I was on the brink of upgrading (again). He complained enough, that they put out a bid so he could get out of DTW and back to FLL.
If not, I'll take your job, and YOU can sit at home!!!

The last Base bid awards will become active on May 1st. We will (the 12 recalls) become active on May 1st.... I received a letter dated March 5th for recall...
