Thanks for the info.
There was either a Jan or a Feb class (not both) and a March class for a total of 24 new hires. My understanding was 3 more classes after the March class to cover summer flying. It would not surprise me if they would cancel some of those but I have not heard anything about that. More classes toward the end of the year for the 2 a/c we "should" still be getting in 2011.

January class was a requal class.

First new hire class was in February then March.

Very cool, so that should put us up somewhere around 475 pilots then?

Yeah I meant new hire classes. 24 for now only. Whatever happened to the double digit upgrades as advertised by our lovely MEC. Hmmmm...

Whatever happened to the growth the company advertised by 2007-2008, whatever happened to my upgrade from my previous employer and thisone, whatever happened to the hundred of thousand of dollars we were supposed to make.
Whatever happened to this industry. Whatever happened to our country. Whatever happened to the oil prices, you get the point, I know you are smart.
Maybe you should start there!

How long have you been a 121?

Exactly. If the company made good on their promise, I would be a mid seniority captain by now. But yes, might as well blame the MEC, it's obviously their fault! ...and haven't there already been double digit upgrades so far this year?

Was anybody really made a promise? I seriously doubt it.
And if a promise was made isn't it on us to recognize the dubious nature of a promise made in the airline biz.

Absolutely! I didn't believe it when I was told the first time, so I'm sure not gonna believe it now. Let's not just start slinging blame around though. The company will grow at whatever pace it wants, and no MEC or pilot contract will have any affect on that growth...positive or negative.

You're right on all counts here, particularly about blame. It does no one any good.
