Daxm! Too bad! For all the above reasons. I've heard the 20 min complain more from FAs than Pilots, but I still after all these years doing this (and lots of short nights with the commuters) don't get how a 20 minutes can make a difference in a 14+ hr overnight.
We get what we deserve. I'll vote for a pilots (whatever ALPA can negotiate) hotel and a FA (whatever their crack arse union can get) hotel.
Loose: DTWgstan, BOS short,DEN crack, IAH....all I can think of.

Problem was, it wasn't 20 minutes! It was more like 45! And after walking from the satellite terminal, waiting for the van and actually arriving it was 1.5 hr + from block in. Screw that noise; good riddance. That would be like ACY/DTW crew landing in FLL then being driven to West Plam Beach for the layover. Why land in one city, then DRIVE to another for the hotel?! I love long van rides with multiple interstate travel; while listening to FA's yap on their phone or tell some story about how they got all tough with a pax in the emergency exit row who wasn't listening to them....

I know a majority of you guys are slam clickers who call a prostitute to your room, but I have to find time to talk to non working girls somewhere.
The van ride difference between the two hotels is 9 minutes, I have timed it. Now Downtown Fort Worth used the contract shuttle which I will say 90% of the time was waiting on the curb when we arrived. The Holiday inn runs their own and more than 75% of the time I find myself waiting for more than 20 minutes for them to arrive. I am wondering how difficult it will be for them to not have us wait when all crews are going to and from it.
Additionally if I have 22 hours anywhere I will take the loss of 30 minutes (taking into account the earlier pickup time) to stay somewhere that offers good food, great night life, good looking women, live music, and good beer. I know that a majority of the pilot group just sit in their rooms and eating mnm peanuts getting fatter by the day, but I like to enjoy my overnights.

I didn't know this was classified information!!! People might know we stay in Fort Worth where there are 20+ hotels. Or one of the 23 Holiday inns around Dallas. Seriously
