Haven't heard anything, but with hiring for Delta, United and American you might think they would, BUT the minimum hours for upgrade are 4000. With the quick growth, that's got to factor into why the mins are so high.

4000 hours TT in the regionals is low time, these days. It's hard to build 4000 hours in fighters or flying off a boat, though.

That's not the case anymore, so I've heard. Or it's being ignored by both the company and the union, at least.

More than half the interviewees recently, had plenty of experience in heavier equipment.
With upcoming upgrades in as soon as 2-3 years, they are looking to hire folks who are ready to be in the left seat yesterday...

Where did you hear/see Virgin lowering their mins? I don't even see a job posting on their web site.

I came here with less than 4000TT, that was after 14 years of flying in the AF. Hard for military to get close to that time.

I saw the 4000 hour requirement in the contract, but like you said, I guess that can get ignored. Maybe 4000TT for insurance requirements?

New training Director and Standards. Doesn't say where he comes from, but has to be the candidate from VX.

Internal company communication. 2,500 total will be the new minimum when the hiring window opens up.
