Just got hired at Spirit, now my parents want to know whats in it for them. I told them I didnt think that parents got travel benefits here but just thought I'd ask. Any info about travel benefits (buddy passes, costs etc) would be appreciated! thanks!

I think it's six months and they get full standby travel (along with your domestic partner)

Union putting pressure on CS not to approve anything unless is thru flica?, at least thats what CS is telling me. -" sorry dude, only swaps with in base, unless the reserve coverage is green" accompanied with a laugh" (looser pilot)"-

I was under the impression that reserve coverage was based system wide when looking at green / red manure. But apparently when swapping between bases it loos at your own base coverage.!? Who in the f knows.!?

Got d.$@@@t !!

Trick question- when should you ever believe anything that CS tells you? Especially if their name begins with a letter between a-z.

Employees, dependents, and 1 set of parents (2 people) are eligible for travel benefits at 90 days from DOH. Employees and immediate family are boarding priority S4, parents are S5. All listings are booked thru the ID90 website and cost $11 to generate the listing. Each traveler gets 1 checked and 1 carry-on for free.

You also will get 6 buddy passes each year, issued in January I believe. I don't know much about those.

My parents just flew to LAS last month so I had to get up to speed on the process then myself. My biggest advice for NR on Spirit, thoroughly explain the virtue of flexibility!

It's free if you just email the pass bureau. They will create the listing for you for free. The form says to give them a week or two to process but in my experience with them it only takes a day at most to process.

That's good to know. Do you know if once it's generated through them if you can still go in and make changes, or do they have to do it?

I'd say if you can't, based on our consistently full flights, it's worth $11 to be able to go in and make changes, on your own at any time of day or night. I was able to move my parents from a later flight to the early flight in the middle of the night before due to the original flight filling up.

I couldn't remember about the buddy passes, so I had to go look it up in my basic indoc documents. Yes, you are eligible for up to 6 round trip buddy passes per 13 months, from January to January, after 6 months of employment. You get 1/2 the months remaining in the calendar year in which you are hired, again, after 6 months of employment.

Thats pretty much verbatim from the HR documents you will get at the beginning of class.
