G4 management was brilliant when they finally decided to “give in” just before things exploded. Do you think our NC would have negotiated our rates if the SWA and DAL new pay scales existed at that time? Probably not… they would have had more leverage.

Unfortunately, you can’t use your peers “hypothetical new pay scales” at the negotiating table. See Allegiant! Fortunately for you guys, you’ll benefit from being behind a few other airlines in the TA department. From where I’m sitting, your timing makes me a bit jealous.

However, you’re setting yourself up for extreme disappointment if you expect to be higher than Delta
Well you're not at $232. That's years from now when every legacy will have negotiated yet again! Yes you can use hypothetical rates as well. Before the latest TAs we were using both delta and SW failed TAs in our ask. Those were hypothetical contracts as well as the ones now. Nothing has been ratified.

And as far as setting myself up for extreme disappointment, I think I'll let management be the ones to manage my expectations not fellow pilots.

Anyone have any info on the initial "short" assessment? I've searched the forum here and can't seem to find anything.

Thanks.

Default Current contract?

Anyone have a link where I can read the current contract. Google led me to what appears to be an outdated one. Thanks!

If you were looking at the pay and thinking "no this can't be right" you were probably looking at the correct one.

Actually, if it is the last contract, be advised that first year pay has actually gone down since the last contract.

It actually pays to drop your trips and do something else on your first year. I know 1 guy that did 13 months here and flew 160 total! Get checked out and drop everything you can. Go apply at the regionals and collect those signing bonus till you're off probation.

I just flew with a new hire last trip and he told me he's telling his friends not to come to Spirit. He said the training was really marginal. It's a huge risk to try it and have a pink slip on your record if things don't work out. That and the lack of support and information about benefits, scheduling, payroll, etc., etc....

Marginal like many other things here at NKS. This place does the absolute minimum to comply with anything it does. Just take a look at contract negotiations.
