Let's look at the "details my friend"

1- at no point I said anything about feeling bad about people getting conflicts.

2- The sentence immediately after I stated "it is a matter of principal", I wrote "I want to be paid a fair wage when I do my required duties, then I want to go home. I don't want to have to "tickle the system" or take advantage of the caveats in the contract (like transition conflict) to make extra money." Maybe I should have put those two sentences together in their own paragraph so it would be easier to understand? Anyways that is what I wrote. That is what I Meant. We should not HAVE (key word is "HAVE") to bid a conflict to make what we are worth. I don't know how I could be any more clear... If you go back and reference your response on p.43, you may notice you left out the word "HAVE" when you originally quoted me. Thats when I knew you didn't comprehend what I was saying.

Ex: "I don't want to HAVE to bid a conflict to make extra money"
-vs-
"I don't want to bid a conflict to make extra money"

Those sentences kinda have a different meaning don't they?...

Then I further explained in a later post (a reply you said you "agree wholeheartedly" with) what I meant with an example where I said: "What is the conflict language worth? If you get 5 days off in transition and end up with a 21 day off line that pays you $10k for the month. What difference would it be if you were able to just flat out drop that trip and still have 21 days off and still make $10k for the month? Point is: you CAN put a $ amount on the conflict language". This example does not contradict with what I originally wrote.

 

Thanks for the advice and vote of confidence. I am helping recruit with my airline recently and have been practicing my response to such questions with our recruiters.

Also, our head recruiter is an old friend of VP of Flight Ops(Jyri) there at Spirit and he said he will introduce me if he can in November.

I will do my homework and keep my fingers crossed. The people at the Spirit booth were super nice and friendly. Plus, met a pilot on my way back too. Every interaction I have with Spirit just wins me over more and more.

 

Will Spirit be hiring pilots in 2015?

 

Heard it last week from the COO, about 250.

 

Well, I am going to the job fair in November. I meet all the requirements. I have an internal reference letter I am bringing with me and "hopefully" our pilot recruiter will introduce me to his long time buddy who is a VP at Spirit.

I swear if I can't get on it won't be for lack of trying. I mean I honestly really want to get on, so I just want to show that rather than just saying it.

Oh, and I sent my resume by FedEx directly to Sandi. So, at this point if they asked me to hop on one foot and sing twinkle twinkle little star I would.

So I will just be patient and cross my fingers.

 

I pretty much did all that AND chased a turd around the toilet with a popsicle stick for American. I kept telling myself it would all be worth it when I was sitting in a big silver jet.

I have never felt so used as when they called and turned me down and that was 25 years ago.

My lips have finally healed from the Spirit process but it was worth it.

 

Well, I sure hope my Spirit experience ends like yours though.

I believe the Nov 7 will be in FLL w/Aerocrew, right? What is the DFW one? Not on my radar yet...

 

We are hosting two job fairs for Spirit. FLL on November 7th and DFW on January 30th. I think it was just a misprint.
