I used up my sick time and vacation earlier this year, loss, numerous surges and procedures. This has been a very trying year for the both of us. We've had a lot of stuff happen and has depleted our resources. We don't own much and we don't have any toys. I appreciate your unsolicited advice, you need to know the whole picture before you get judgmental. Hopefully in the next year all this mess will get fixed, but first, all the crazy stuff needs to stop.
Listen, do what you want...its your life. But you cant sell that notion this is a single month event when you're rocking 900 block and anyone who has flown with you over the last few years knows you always mention financial woes.
In all seriousness, take is easy with the pregnancy and best of luck to you and your husband with the new baby.

Anyone wanna see my 62 hour line this month? No for real...it's awesome...thankfully Captain Wurkstoomuch is the minority...vegass respectfully we will get a contract and a good one when the company finally gets scared. I can live frugally and feed three growing midgets and a wife on 65 hours per month in the meantime. And F y'all for having some rounded marbles between your legs and understanding that your only compounding the problem by flying 900 hours per year. That is quite literally unhealthy and ridiculous even in a non negotiating environment. Go work at subway on your four days off that were earned by pilots here before you were in high school. Rant complete. F y'all I need a frosty pint.

So I've been hearing that a lot of our pilots are putting themselves on the Standing Available list for December. Scheduling has to contractually call that list. Everyone on it until the trip is staffed. I agree we should ALL place ourselves on the list. Every...single...person. I think it is a great idea. We all want to help out this holiday season right!?!?!
