There were pilots from every domicile, yet our largest domicile was represented by single digit numbers some of which were first year guys fighting for the cause. Where the hell were you FLL???
There should be no reason we can't get 300+ guys at these things. Southwest had over 1000 at their last event before the TA

That's awesome that a large amount of pilots showed up. One question for you guys who have been in a contract fight before though. What is the main objective of an event like this? Obviously it doesn't cost the company money like a mass sick call or something like that so is it to get public attention for the situation or to show Spirit management that the group is willing to unite to make management feel some pressure?
Bendo comes in to recurrent saying the NC is not negotiating on our behalf because it serves to divide. Large participation at these events will prove him wrong.
It's bad press for shareholders. If we were frontier this wouldn't mean **** but we are public and bobby and John have to field questions about labor risk when these events have high attendance and catch press.
As attendance at the picketing events rose rapidly and they became more frequent both SW and delta saw their second TAs. It could be a coincidence or it could be that management sees the pilot group as a true unified force not just a few guys at the table. Those guys represent a much larger force.
I would advise green lanyards and silence when management comes to visit ground school. Their questions are calculated and the answers used against us at the table.

You divide out the FLL pilots, then in the next post talk about unity. I think I got whiplash... you'll be hearing from my attorney.

I think it's somewhat comical that JS thinks that there are pilots that are truly on his side. Yes JS your pilots like being one of the lowest Airbus pilots in America.

Those pictures are awesome! It's great to see the big turnout. I wonder if any members of the press were invited to the event. I think a press release would help get some media attention, which will help. I predict negotiations will go better in October on the minor issues, just to please the mediator. Then in November, there will be no progress and then the company can't make it for December negotiations. Then we're back to the slow motion negotiations.

I am not sure why everyone doesn't take a **** break when he comes in during recurrent. Not to worry though, he will be used as cannon fodder as soon as we get a contract.
