Every single day without a contract is a paycut.

Also, SPA ALPA shut down the webboard, using ALPA national. It was our own MEC.

Happy Fornicating New year..............

Contact 2016? Pffffffffffff

Ummm....

How long did DALPA negotiate before the pilots had a TA to vote NO on?? How about FedEx? SWA?

A little patience goes a long way...

I'll try to take these one at a time.

1. I went to FedEx with a 5 year deal in place.

2. I have seen the financial types play there games at ATA, World and North American. Ben and Ben showed their colors this summer.

3. As I said earlier, I am hired and quit yesterday.

4. No, the pay was what I saw coming in. But, twice in person, Jyri told me the pay would improve soon. It did not. This summers issues and the companies nonresponse made the future clear to me.

Spirit can be a good place to be. It may be SWA in 1980. I just don't have 5 years to wait on a contract.

Right on! Half this seniority list works for 50% less than their peers at other airlines while management builds this place on your backs.

All trips will have no added accoutrements."
You called it.

Check your company email. Sarcasm is difficult to tell over a forum but without giving you the benefit of the doubt since you're the resident antagonist and troll I'll take an apology anytime

Congratulations, but in all fairness to points 4 and 5, pay still would have improved if there was a ratified TA with say jet blue minus 10%. NC and probably the pilots would have turned down the pay raise, not the company.

Secondly, like you said, you knew the pay rates coming in. Nobody promised or even hinted to you this was going to be the next SWA, cause it ain't. Everyone was very clear that Spirit is going in the direction of Ryanair (which as worse work rules and compensation) and during your interview someone probably asked you in one variation or another, "What do you know about the ULCC model / Do you believe in the ULCC model?"
