No, I don't beat the wife, hell Big Momma would probably beat me. JS said in his email he hopes 2016 brings us prosperity, gotta believe him right?

No big ding on the airline record, but I don't look good in a suit, I don't even wear one to church on Sunday morning. I woke up this morning after a few Jack & Cokes last night thinking we may be in for a contract this year. The clouds they have parted and I'm full of sunny optimism.

I was also a friend and while I wasn't an every week acquaintance, I did have dinner with hime shortly before his untimely passing. He was the same guy that night as usual, full of caring concern and love for his kids, especially his youngest daughter. Anyone of you who heard the suicide rumor and gave it credibility obviously didn't know Jim. RIP

Whether we are going to be the next southwest or Ryan air is irrelevant. I believe in the ulcc model. That doesn't mean I'm going to subsidize it and how the company chooses to make its money doesn't change my expectations of compensation as an Airbus pilot. Get a clue
What's irrelevant is whether you feel like you're worth more or that you say you won't "subsidize" the profits. Because after it's all said and done, you simply will do it because thats the nature of the ULCC beast.

Of course it's relevent. If all Spirit labor groups made legacy wages with legacy longevity. Guess what, it wouldn't be an ulcc anymore, it'd be a "legacy" airline with an a la cartel pricing scheme and legacy costs. You can't have it both ways.

Expect and fight for better. This airline can afford to pay us Industry Average Airbus pay and still maintain its "ULCC" status.

100% correct. They can afford to pay us and keep ridiculous profits. It's all a matter of degree.
