Friend at HQ says they seem to be happy with the current bases, but they are always willing to look at other possibilities down the road.
They seem to want to get a contract signed soon, since other airlines' pay rates are going up and a signed CBA with the pilots will improve investor confidence and help to plan the financing of aircraft orders.

I think it's fair. Let's be realistic about the airline we have chosen. We can vote to get a pay raise we all need now, or drag this out for another 4 or 5 years and just end up with the same thing.
Still waiting to see what kind of proposals are made for LTD and retirement, though.

The majority are not willing to drag out negotiations on our current pay for the next 4 or 5 years in mediation.
Who knows when the next financial crisis will come, with bankruptcies and furloughs?
They might as well get this proposal out to the group and let the pilots decide what we want.
We will find out soon enough...

I think it would pass right now. The majority are not going to refuse the hourly rates to uphold transition language that only benefits a few.

In the end, we will all end up with more $$ in our paychecks and about a dozen indignant people will walk around with "I VOTED NO" stickers on their bags.
Reasons to vote YES:
-Higher pay for everybody.
-New aircraft orders that provide opportunities for career advancement that do not exist for a large number of First Officers.
-Stability that will boost investor confidence, ensuring a future for Spirit.
Reasons to vote NO:
-The 10% who make a lot of $$ to not work, under the current system.
I predict it will pass by 93-95%
