United after ta passes this week will have all captains above $200 with 12 year wide body captain over $300. Retirement is DC 16% profit sharing not as good as delta
AA has all captains over $200. 16% DC retirement. No profit sharing.
Scope/code sharing limits far superior along with a real LTD in the unfortunate case that you lose your most valuable asset, your medical.
Many southwest pilots made/make the argument that their 737 pay should be even higher than the legacies because they can't move to a widebody for more money. We should be thinking the same way! This isn't world/southern/Mesa/Miami ****bag cargo/insert regional.
Work like a professional, think like a professional, negotiate like a professional, get paid like a professional.
We are not sun country. They screwed up and will live with that for the next 8-10years. Don't be fooled.

So, it wouldn't affect the margin by 1% or it would? Double negative there. I'm guessing it wouldn't have any affect at all on the margins and if the increase in margins was due to no new contract, then we're in trouble. Good golly miss Molly, the comparison and phone call paper came out. This pay is ridiculous!

Just got the email from the negotiating committee with the industry comparison. Just shows how ridiculously underpaid we are, it's depressing to see what everyone else is making. It projects out to as of Jan. 2019. My take away is we are at the bottom now and will always be at the bottom. I think it is time to reevaluate.

Welp, it's official. Delta has a quicker uograde than Spirit.
This place officially has practically nothing to offer.

I hope that light's a fire to get things started for you. Delta retired twice as many pilots last year than the company forecast. As long as the economy keeps chugging - or limping along - I'd say it will be this way for years to come. This newest Captain is a Feb 2014 hire. That year we hired over 900. So, unless there's a lot people just chomping at the bit to upgrade in record time, I think it'll stagnate just a little bit and settle around 2-4 years.

Amazing. Good for you guys! Nice to see things moving along so well. I hope we can get our act together before too long. Lovely group of guys here but Jesus H Christ we are falling so far behind in pay.
I'm a junior CA and update my Delta App after every trip, lol
