They aren't doing anything illegal. They may be whoring themselves out and preventing JRMs but when your payrates are as ****ty as Spirits you need to pick up to over 100hrs and get down to 10 days off to make what our counterparts make.

These people are the single largest pilot controlled threat to getting a new contract. We can't control NK management. We can't control the NMB. What we can control is the amount we are picking up open time, accepting deals for MUP and dropped reserve days and covering yet again for their inadequate planning.
There's no incentive for our management to bargain in good faith because they don't need to. There's a list a mile long of pilots willing to run out of the house at a moments notice for 1.5 hours extra to cover their open trips. Flights don't cancel and the operation continues to push through just good enough to not suffer another meltdown.
Until we understand this simple fact nothing will change.

My point is they aren't going against the contract. Make the list, I don't care. I say out the greedy SOBs
I'm more concerned with our MEC & Leadership than I am the standing available list. It's time for an Honest, no BS MEC Chairmen who would rather be honest with us than spew such BS as
"The company is in dire straights" and "we are close to a contract " etc

Well, if our MEC had some sack, they'd put out a memo stating they don't condone the standing available list, volunteering for job fairs or anything other than flying your line and CBA compliance. But, they'd never do that since the whole 109 LEC is on the flipping list! The 109 got played by these jokers!

Well, they can't do that because SPA ALPA would be sued. The whole anything other than status qou or whatever would be consider a "job action " People can choose not to pick up open time, however if thats predicated on the advice of ALPA, via a blastmail, "Whatsapp, chat boards" etc it becomes a very big, very expensive problem that Spirit management will win.

Well, I get that.. The rest of this pilot group should too.. But as you or someone mentioned.. We have to fly 100 hours to make JB wages at our sorry rates.. Company knows it.. "But I can't pay my bills unless I credit 100 hours...." The reason we won't get a TA till 2020!
Tired of this BS
