Spirit of NKS, Part II

I thought it was a very good video. He seemed confident and in control to me. Great intro and great message. Know your effing contract! I'm not the best at it but I'm trying to get more intimate with it gigiddy.
I've met SM only a couple of times but I have confidence in him. He was sharp and well prepared at the NC road show in ORD a year or so ago. I like his history and experience. Parity and Scope! I hope we can all unite in backing him and giving him a solid, fair chance to get stuff taken care of. Let's get some solidarity momentum going.

Wow, guy cant win. People hate on the guy for not introducing himself to the pilot group when elected MEC chair, and now that he has put a video out, its "painful to watch." What else do you want to see? Are you not entertained?
I liked what he had to say, hope the aggressive tone continues, and appreciate updates that dont mention ALPA PAC and ALPA pin.
Its easy to attack someone with the comfort of anonymity, while typing away on a laptop computer.

^^^Full of win right there. Sheesh, cut the guy some slack. Bunch of clowns around here complain just to hear themselves complain.

Spirit Airlines and Its Flight Attendants Reach Tentative Agreement
MIRAMAR, Fla., March 19, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Spirit Airlines (SAVE) has reached a tentative agreement with the Association of Flight Attendants – CWA (AFA), providing the airlines more than 2,200 Flight Attendants with a five-year contract. The agreement contains wage increases, healthcare and other benefits.
“I am thrilled that we were able to reach an agreement with the AFA, providing our Flight Attendants the pay increases they deserve while keeping our airline in a strong financial position,” said John Bendoraitis, Spirit’s Chief Operations Officer. “From the beginning we were committed to showing how much we value the contributions of our great flight attendants and ensuring the future of our airline. This agreement achieves this goal.”
The AFA Negotiating Committee will be sharing complete details of the agreement with Spirit's Flight Attendant Leadership, and once approved will be put before all Flight Attendants for a ratification vote.
“I want to thank the members of the AFA negotiating committee for representing their members and understanding the importance of sustaining the airline, and the National Mediation Board for their diligence throughout the negotiations,” added Bendoraitis. “We look forward to approval and ratification of the contract in the coming weeks.”

Yes, I am sure the private pilot 101 handbook would prefer that we all were a bunch of submissive, compliant, affable little dorks but the majority of guys you fly with would prefer you were the other guy. I'm not saying we all need to be a bunch of wild eyed Cowboys but I do think it is a necessary core personality trait that a pilot knows how prioritize what is important and disregard what is not regardless of the consequences. This fueling procedure had nothing to do with safety and was crammed down our throats because of a dick measuring contest between the FAA and the Company. Any other real airline would have immediately allotted financial resources and competent administrative personnel to immediately re-write the fueling manual and prevent this bull**** procedure from being implemented in the first place as it causes delays. I think the procedure has finally been changed because it was being ignored by so many pilots and fuelers and was impossible to enforce. To all the pilots and ground personnel that ignored the procedure I salute you as you have probably made all of our lives much easier.
