Set me free, I ain't gonna call for paperwork no more!
Can't we all agree to stop carrying the operation by doing every other employee's assigned tasks? What a bunch of micro-managing control freaks we are. Hardly better than our Vee Pee of FLOPS, Cosmonaut Jerry Sandman!
A pilot isn't a fueler, mechanic, customer service agent, ramp agent, caterer, wheelchair coordinator, or paperwork fetcher. We should allow those employees to have the space and time to do their work, and reap their reward for responsibility (or lack thereof)!
This is a really relaxing job, for those of us who get it. I feel bad for the pilots who try to carry the entire operation on their shoulders. We don't get paid enough to be that stressed. Low pay, no profit sharing, no contract? Chill, mon!
This is what's going through my mind when there's no paperwork, catering, fueling and we are 10 minutes past departure time:

We need a pay scale that is in line with the rest of the industry. If it takes 85% to get industry standard then that is what we need.
After we get the correct pay scale, then we have to make sure that the annual raises keep up with inflation.
I should have been more clear with my previous post.

Um, out of my 5 years here at NK, I only have 5 total JRM. Days off supersedes $$ for me. The S/N was created during a battle with Polutti and the gang a while ago to throw stones. Pot me kettle my a$$ chump!

The OB came out last week. That's the point of an OB. It's a change in a manual until they can update the manual.
The OB even states section 8.4.2 of the FOM has been completely rewritten. I hope you just missed the OB.
