I held a line in DFW at 10 months. Hired last year.

RE LAS... Recently Flew with a couple of guys that have been here less than a year but can hold a relief line in Vegas. In many cases a relief line is just as good as a line so maybe show the time from new hire to relief...

How important is the standing available list anyway? My classmate just received a SECOND call / offer for a JA a few days ago. He starts IOE today.

Well it's a good thing. Besides the incompetence of calling someone who hasn't started IOE yet, at least the started with the most junior for a junior man

The calls go out to those that still need consolidation time before even starting the bottom of the list. but ya should probably hold off until done with IOE!

Are you out of your mind?

$80,000 is POVERTY in NJ
This is the problem. Don't forget how much they take out in taxes! Sadly our bottom tier Captain pay scale is still POVERTY when you factor in how much things cost today. The dollar went farther ten years ago than it does today. We need our pay adjusted for inflation and to get more in line with what our competitors are making.

85% is a bit more than inflation

Only took 3 years, but if I'm reading the new OB correctly we are no longer required to be on board for fueling with pax on board!

Set me free, I ain't gonna call for paperwork no more!

Can't we all agree to stop carrying the operation by doing every other employee's assigned tasks? What a bunch of micro-managing control freaks we are. Hardly better than our Vee Pee of FLOPS, Cosmonaut Jerry Sandman!

A pilot isn't a fueler, mechanic, customer service agent, ramp agent, caterer, wheelchair coordinator, or paperwork fetcher. We should allow those employees to have the space and time to do their work, and reap their reward for responsibility (or lack thereof)!

This is a really relaxing job, for those of us who get it. I feel bad for the pilots who try to carry the entire operation on their shoulders. We don't get paid enough to be that stressed. Low pay, no profit sharing, no contract? Chill, mon!

This is what's going through my mind when there's no paperwork, catering, fueling and we are 10 minutes past departure time:

PS- That picture is also what's going on in Bimini Bendo's mind every day, because he knows that Spirit pilots have demonstrated that they will go above and beyond doing everybody's job- and even give relief when he demands it!

Bimini Bendo has no worries about a new contract for the pilots, mon!
