Thanks! I'll give HR a call. Haven't had a problem listing myself or my wife internationally, just my parents.

Same here, just ran a mock listing with my mom on Lufthansa and it worked.

Maybe it is all "talk" and maybe it's not. They are well compensated today and if this "talk" brings better work rules then AA will be the go-to place for a lot of guys.
The point I made by showing the talk of new rates by is that first UA, then DL proposed new pilot pay now AA is about to do the same.

We are getting leap frogged.
Our 40% raise needed to be on par with them is about to be 75%.

It's going to be very hard for an arbitration judge to say a 50-60% raise isnt in order.

A 3 yr fo needs an 85% raise at dos to meet united just on pay rates alone.

A 4yr ca needs a 76% raise at dos to meet United just on pay rates

A 12 yr ca needs a 45% raise at dos to meet United just on pay rates

Not sure where people are getting this 30-40% raise stuff. It's already north of 75% for many longevities.

Delta pilots will be making the going rate. Spirit pilots will be the ones making obscenely low pay.

Fair warning to applicants. Know exactly what you are signing up for. This airline has a regional mentality, operating Airbus. I am actively trying to escape. Anything short of a phenomenal contract I'll either be somewhere else flying or out of aviation entirely. I know it's off the beaten thread path but felt the need to post. Good luck getting out everyone.

It's like this is everyone's first airline. Did you really think management was going to just give us a 50% raise on our amendable date?

It's a growing airline that sells it's own tickets and makes lots of money. Should you apply elsewhere, maybe... but it's not all doom and gloom.
The ULCC business model works. If you need an international planning room and gate agents that have been with the company for 35 years then this isn't the place for you.
That being said I'm not a low cost pilot and will not vote for anything less than industry pay rates.

You're right, third airline for me and 13 yrs of 121. No, I didn't think we would get a contract on amendable date. However, I didn't expect transition with payrates that are still bottom of the barrel either. (Last negotiations email). My soul doesn't have another prolonged negotiations did that had my fun.

Unfortunately because we are ULCC the company conducts every part of their business as such. Including us. I really hope I'm wrong.
