You guys are worked up over a meeting when most of the DFW guys are whoring themselves out for free? Really ? I was told that the next 2 meetings will be in DFW and I am sure they will provide free tissues to those who are not feeling loved and need a hug.

There are 13 pilots (at 9am this morning) in DFW, that's both left and right seats out of 200??? Not exactly sure how that constitutes "most".

You lose credibility when you make stupid statements.

Our new CEO could learn a lot from Parker... (See 4th paragraph)

"American Airlines will focus on investing in its employees and onboard product now that much of the integration with US Airways has been completed, CEO Doug Parker said.

Speaking to analysts at the J.P. Morgan Aviation, Transportation and Industrials Conference in New York last week, Parker said management has to regain the trust of American’s employees.

In the years leading up to American’s filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2011 and afterward, employees took pay cuts and made other concessions. But now that the airline is back to financial health—it reported 2015 net profit of $7.6 billion—the carrier must reward its employees, Parker said.

He acknowledged that increased pay for all its employees will hit the airline’s bottom line, explaining that “we have to have an engaged and excited workforce. The history has been bad enough,” referring to the pre-bankruptcy and pre-merger historically difficult relationship with unionized employees. “It’s been long enough. If we can get this right, there’s a huge upside.”

Well, what he says and what he does are two different things.

Where was DUI Dougie when they discussed profit sharing and minimum days off etc, or days off in a hotel a 1,000 miles from home etc.....

I'm not defending our CEO, don't know anything about him other than he likes pasta and Vanilla Ice Cream. It's just I'm not going to praise Doug Parker because what he "says" in an article

At least Parker talks about it. Our pasta eating ice cream slurping CEO hasn't made one reference about keeping his frontline employees happy..

I can assure you that you want nothing to do with the world's best used car salesman. Dougie is the type of guy that would smile, shake your hand, and tell you what to hear while taking your wallet.
