Maybe that is the reason your not getting a call. HR is probably thinking that something has to be wrong with this guy if he wants to come back and be sodomized again.

From the NJ hiring site, "The current starting salary for a trooper is $62,403.60 (including uniform allowance). The second-year total compensation significantly increases to $69,489.30. Top pay for a Trooper I is $108,847.13. Troopers receive yearly increments." I will say that NJ actually pays well in that regard though. Starting pay in my home state for a trooper is about 42,000

On another note that chart is sad and I am now going to sob into my beer.
Brother in law is a Trooper, my two very close friends are Troopers. The base salary you listed in 100% correct but you aren't including overtime. They can basically work as much overtime as they want. It'd be like us being able to pick up as many day trips as we want on our days off paid at 150%

State troopers absolutely make that much

You may be correct about NJ and NY but I would be leery of believing that the average guy working the road is making $180,000 as reported from that source. My Uncle is a Sergeant, and my dad was a Captain with the state patrol and I don't doubt that a few guys were making into the 100s. Jobs like governer's security, which my uncle was part of, have a higher pay mostly due to high overtime use, might make 120 on a good year. There are also limits back home on how much overtime is approved for the road guys. Breaking 100 would be a big deal for most. I would not say 180k is the norm. Back to the subject at hand.

Anybody else enjoying Bendo starting to get frustrated and nervous about "the facts" from the two last podcasts.

While I don't buy the 1 million dollars to start an LEC, that number did come from national, not your reps. I will say that while it would cost extra to form a new LEC none of your status reps actually believed the million dollar number. I'm not against having additional LEC representation when the time is appropriate. I'm not asking in any attacking way but where has the current LEC structure failed? How would the additional LEC help? What benefit would be attained by paying 4 additional members flight pay loss from our dues to attend meetings and do additional union work? If we need to add 2 for DFW and 2 for 2 ORD, why not 2 for ACY, so that each base has their own? The quote about FLL and power has to do with votes where let's say a vote is taking place on an item. If each base had separate representation the 100 guys in ACY have the same voting power as the 400ish in FLL which hardly seems fair either. I am on the fence with the issue, and depending on the agruement could be swayed either way, but I don't want my dues money thrown away for nothing. If someone can show me how I will benefit I'll be right there with you and I feel like that was how the MEC felt as well. There just was not a case where the current structure was not working.
