Spirit of NKS, Part II

No different than a 16 year old who gets a new car and loves it, until they see the school kids all have V8 engines with superchargers in theirs; suddenly the 16 year old doesn't like his V6 2008 Camaro
IF you have to be dissatisfied, be dissatisfied with management, as they play the game the RLA has created for us.

Well don't be dissatisfied with the contract, it was the contract that you and I were hired in with and we liked the contract at that time. Its just now all other contracts look better in regards to pay/retirement/LTD. Its the cycle.

I like being at work and doing my job. I'm not happy with management playing the RLA game and dragging things out.

Your argument about having to have been in a regional to enjoy your job, understand your job or how management acts is as irrelevant as mine.
I came here knowing full well what was in the contract, what I would be paid and what quality of life factors were inherent in accepting a position at Spirit. I knew full well a contract could remain amendable for years, I made the decision and will be an adult about it. My happiness and enjoyment I derive from this job is NOT contingent on when we get a new contract.
I am 100% positive no one from Spirit management FORCED any pilot to accept a seat in class as a newhire, we came here willingly. And I don't remember signing any piece of paper that forces me or anyone else to stay.

Easy to complain when you've never been shot at, spent six months living with your crew in a tent in the desert or stuffed in a box, punched in the stomach and fed grasshoppers while in training.

What I personally didn't take into account was the very likely fact that though the legacies have gotten pay raises already, we will very likely be looking at a long road to parity. The legacies may even get another raise before we get one. I hope I'm wrong, I know we are less than a year into being amenable so I am by no means saying "This is taking too long, I deserve what they got now! " But the simple fact is my original thought of being about the same money wise once in the left seat, just isn't true. And we aren't even talking left seat pay.
Guys getting hired now, I'm not even sure where there incentive is to come here. I personally know of one guy who got the offer here and then declined. Much better to stay at a regional and upgrade. Money is the same or better than the right seat here, and you get PIC time and maybe a flow. We are quickly becoming an Airbus type rating shop. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing the training contacts coming here soon.

Hope everyone is paying attention to AS/VA potential merger. Looks like their is a good chance of some serious Whipsawing.
