Food for thought .
The ball is in their (management's) court. They can continue to make this a great place to work. Management and the union can be a team and grow this place, or managers such as JS and Bendo can decide to bog this place down in mud and make this place a bottom feeder. You get what you pay for. I am sure once a contract is signed, one or both of them will be used as a scapegoat.

I don't know. If consolidation occurs, ticket prices will most likely go up. We will either keep our ticket prices low and gain marketshare, or raise ticket prices along with everyone else and make more money. Our casm is going down with every plane we get. I do agree we need to hit a critical mass with interconnected city pairs to be relevant, and with our orders I think we'll get there. Or not. Time will tell.

What makes you think the "joker" is no longer in charge?

Actually it's a valid point. Said "joker" is still an LEC rep. My thinking (which could easily be flawed) is that we seem to have grown a spine after the change. Either way I welcome the change.

Well, I could tell by the tone of things that he isn't in charge. Matter of fact, he wasn't thanked and he was tasked with cleaning up his mess of trying to get the company to cough up our quid.
I highly doubt he is well liked by any of the new guys.

Skybolt is making the point that the "joker" is still an LEC rep, therefore, still has a vote. As you know, the MEC Chair helps provide the direction, but the LEC reps are the one who run the show.

That being said, im glad the new MEC chair is showing us a direction of 100% contract compliance, no waivers, and the contract being the top priority of the MEC at this time.

James would be a great "peace time" MEC Chairman/Rep, but these times call for a war time Chair/LEC. Time to show the arrows and not the olive branch of our flag
