Those dudes at sun country are just happy they've got a job. That place is a doubling of the price of oil or one accident away from going under. I know a couple of them, good guys, but no ambition, if sun country closed their doors, they'd probably go into selling insurance or something like that.

Honestly I don't know you, but just remember every time you point at someone you have 3 fingers pointing back at you! Like I have said to you before, one of these days you will wake up and notice the world is not all that bad, could be a hell of a lot worse, like working for Walmart.
As for the walk around at 5 minutes yeah that's lame!
Walk out for a minute and I'm 15 pages behind.
Well, HD, it's not my problem that you don't want to look at the other side of the coin, but some of that was just nasty.

You want to hurt me? Go right ahead if it makes you feel any better. I'm an easy target. Yeah, you're right, I post too much. I also read too much. You think what you want about me... I'm not changing. I like, I like me. My wife likes me. My passengers like me, because I'm the real article... What you see is what you get.

Training 24hrs a day?? Are you nuts. We don't have to exchange anything. It's literally the best negotiating environment of our careers. Not to mention that would mean 24 instructor schedules. Yes I know like pilots do red eyes
No, I'm quite serious about 24 hours for new hires. One of the rumors about why upgrades were so few for awhile was a lack of availability of sims and FTDs. Noobs get a raise and others upgrade sooner. If instructors don't want to work those hours - quit. Company can then raise instructor rates as necessary to get volunteers.
Really though, if it is true we have instructors going in on days off to work for free, why would these horz mine working graveyard?

When I was a newhire we had sim 11pm-5am at Airbus in Miami. Is that time slot no longer allowed? Two or three Cuban coffees from Latin Cafe 2000 and I was good to go.

SEC 11.12

For me training or checking in the middle of the night would be terrible. Glad the contract protects against it.

We need to do away with training on days off for sure. Who even does that besides us? This would prevent them from completely screwing when you have something planned on a day off. You bid a line to get certain days off. If they want to train you that month feel free to pick any work day and drop the trip for training
