Maybe you get a certification of some sort to enrich your knowledge base but you don't graduate. Sadly for many FAs training is the hardest thing they've ever done in their lives so perhaps graduation is more appropriate.
That's what you took away from what I posted?

So I humbly stand corrected. I thought this was a rediculous rumor to keep talking about on here. It now gives creedance to any other rediculous rumor posted on here..
Don't forget that every midnight sim the new hires are pressured into there is a fully cba covered / non probationary instructor in the back seat. If this is going to be an issue lets make sure the blame goes in the right place.

Just ran a few numbers based on being a junior captain at Spirit vs the new Delta and subsequently United snap-up numbers. Even if you are a junior captain at Spirit or will be by January 2017, if you were to get hired at one of those companies it would only take 4 years based on 75 hours a month at the potential rates to make your money back. THAT IS FOR PAY ONLY. It doesn't even include retirement or profit sharing/ bonus plans which skew the numbers even more.

What about when United furloughs again?
It will happen.

So maybe you should know that section 9 covers instructors and there is no protection in there to not teach between 0200-0600. The section you are thinking about is under 11 and that covers students only.

Nice of you to pop up once in awhile to blame your fellow pilots for something, even when you have no idea what you're talking about.

Yeah, I used to think that too. Here's the difference between now and the last time the furloughs happened: RETIREMENTS.
A whole crapload of them. So many that any furlough would be mitigated by them. Movement would slow or stop for a little while, but it's unlikely that you would end up on the street. Even if it was so bad that they really had to furlough, it wouldn't be a long one.

Even though Spirit is a giant suckhole of ****, we will have a contract within 4 years so it isn't as simple as you make it seem.

Pay is only one of the reasons to leave this depressing ****hole run by idiots

In 4 years, you'd probably have an opportunity to upgrade at said airline. That would negate our contract.

Also, in 4 years, Tranquilitie's boy Trump will probably find a way to end the world. That would also negate our contract.
