Once again, there is no ulterior motive, just many of us fed up at the feet dragging by the company and this petition supports the NC and forces the company to move faster. 329 supporters, almost 25% of Spirit pilots support this, keep it going! Can you all put down the keyboard tough guy act for a bit and see that the NC is getting support from many who never did before? This petition is bringing support from all sides.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying here and what your intentions are. The unity behind this petition is great! The problem I see is read between the lines..... "This petition demands that the Spirit Pilot’s Association Master Executive Council of the Airline Pilot’s Association will not accept nor ratify any new agreement with Spirit Airlines without including full 100% retroactive pay for all membership from the amendable date of August 1, 2015." Nowhere in the direct quote from the petition are the words "company or management". All the ask is being put on SPAMEC. Don't you think all the ask should be put on Spirit management? Maybe something like this..."This petition demands 100% retroactive pay from Spirit Management from August 1, 2015 on top of a TA that offers industry blah blah blah....nor will this pilot group accept anything less."

Why was all the ask put on the MEC?

Another new login? Same IP, same message, funny how desperate a few of you are to denigrate those standing up for you, substance abuser now? BTW, I have no idea what you are talking about, I was barely at RAH for 12 months, I never gave a **** about that place, nor did I have time for message boards, if I stated anything it was about the corruption and lack of transparency of the TEAMSTERS. I was right and Sowell went to jail for it, so how am I wrong for outing criminals in the union? (I was deposed for grievance) Again, no substance, just lashing out and slinging mud, grow a pair and reach out to me personally, then I will take you serious. Thanks though for getting more people onboard the petition, your message a hate and delusion are backfiring.

Lots of words here and I think most have stopped listening.

I will say that telling me someone was critical about the RAH MEC and NC doesn't exactly make me think that person is crazy. If a leadership group cannot either secure a RATIFIABLE agreement or get released in a seven year period I'd say deserves a major amount of criticism. That's not a conspiracy theory.

I don't know any on either side this senseless argument just making an observation. Having Kiwi as a prime supporter I think discredits someone more.

My guess is that anything that may or may not have happened at Duffys probably had both sides at fault. Both sides are passionate but there are always three sides to a story, one being the truth.

Really? You lost me there.

I was there. Bendo did make a bathroom appearance. Nowhere near the same time this other stuff went down.

You are right, I will stop entertaining these trolls.

I want to point out earlier someone commented on why the petition was aimed at the MEC and not management. The reason we have to go this route is that when this becomes a resolution we can require management to give us ponies, but it has no teeth. The MEC must ratify any agreement the NC hands to them before it reaches the pilot group for a vote, they are the firewall. By requiring any contract to contain retro before it is ratifiable by the MEC in turn requires management to agree to it. It might seem like semantics, but legally we wanted to make sure the petition could be turned into a word for word resolution and not change anything. If we changed wording when it goes to resolution it may cause some who supported the petition to back out, or the naysayers will use that as ammo to shoot it down, claiming that was not what the petition was for. Basically just making sure that the petition mirrors any resolution and keep the message as transparent as possible.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Teamsters were in trouble at RAH because of Sowell and TM (business agent). Everyone knew it and several moved against them, only to be accused of "seditious weasleyism (sp?)". Gene held all the cards and eventually Teamsters put the local into trusteeship. It improved after this, but was occasionally hijacked by people who overreached. I'll give an example: asking for more than any other regional airline pilots were getting = mediator putting you on ice. RAH management was adept at working with codeshare partners, to shift flying to others in order to help them stave off the union demands and inability to staff. Eventually, they got a decent group of guys that made something happen. Is it an awesome agreement? No. It's a good step in the right direction though. This is why negotiations dragged on over there.
If you were there for only 12 months, why do I remember your name? Could it be that you were a prolific abuser of the message board? It didn't take a genius to see that RAH wasn't a great place to be and you're no genius!

By the way, I would encourage everyone that believes in DFW having their own LEC to demand that they be shown the SPAALPA finances. Ask yourself some objective questions:
How much dues income does SPAALPA generate?
How much does it cost to run an LEC?
How much income for ALPA does each base generate?

Now look at Spirit's finances:
Which bases are the biggest income generators for Spirit?
Which bases are under the most revenue pressure from our competitors?

Everyone should get educated about the finances of ourselves and Spirit. The $2.5 million MCF that we were able to secure from ALPA will be coming from whom? Delta/United/FedEx Pilots, that's who? We can't afford another LEC at this time. We wouldn't be be good stewards of other's money! Period.
