You are right, I will stop entertaining these trolls.
I want to point out earlier someone commented on why the petition was aimed at the MEC and not management. The reason we have to go this route is that when this becomes a resolution we can require management to give us ponies, but it has no teeth. The MEC must ratify any agreement the NC hands to them before it reaches the pilot group for a vote, they are the firewall. By requiring any contract to contain retro before it is ratifiable by the MEC in turn requires management to agree to it. It might seem like semantics, but legally we wanted to make sure the petition could be turned into a word for word resolution and not change anything. If we changed wording when it goes to resolution it may cause some who supported the petition to back out, or the naysayers will use that as ammo to shoot it down, claiming that was not what the petition was for. Basically just making sure that the petition mirrors any resolution and keep the message as transparent as possible.

Does anyone know what the results of the negotiating committee surely were? How can anyone say they are 100% behind the negotiating committee when no one here but the MEC members know what they are actually asking for. Yes I've been to the unity events, heard the updates from the NC itself, but I still feel as lost in this process as ever.
I'm patient, this is not my first negotiations process in the 121 world. This will undoubtedly be a long bargaining session, but I keep getting the feeling we are just "winging" it. The Southwest pilot group achieved their TA with transparency. Until we see a little of that all of you are guessing. Those of us that signed the petition are doing exactly what SM has asked, getting involved with a unified voice. Remember the NC and reps work for us, and as long as I'm paying into this Union with hard earned cash, I'm going to raise a stink every now and then.

77 needs to recall JA already and quit the complaining. Then you can have one DFW rep and one LAS rep.
