My home computer doesn't fit in my flight bag and I don't have enough time off at home to do this distance Learning crap at home.

The LOA needs to be revised so that if we have to do it at home on our home computer, then we should have an entire month off to do this with a credit of no less of 100 hours of pay during the distance learning month.

I don't charge my iPad at home because they don't pay my electric bill. Now that I think about it, I'm not going to drive myself to work again until they give me a company car!

My advice if Bendo, Gyro or whoever shows up at a union function like that. Make an announcement asking people if they have ever had a sh___y experience on NK, get them all good and riled up then tell them well right over there is ____ _____ (whichever one it may be) and he/she loves nothing more than to talk about why they can't/afford to do anything about it.

All very good points. I couldn't agree with you more.

Personal attacks aside, while Im sure the petition makes these 200+ people feel good it is a flawed way of trying to change things. It's the easy way out. It restricts the reps ability to vote on a TA that may be good for us based on a demand like this. I don't want my reps to ignore compensation, retirement, scheduling, scope, LTD etc etc based solely on retro pay. I do want our negotiators to get as much as possible from these dirtbags and spread it around the most equitable way possible. Just like I wouldn't want my reps to only care about pay rates at the expense of scheduling rules. Ive made that clear to them directly. We've had our say twice so far in pilot surveys. Its a frustrating process but I think we should see what happens this week and what happens over the next few months before making demands like this. If there isn't progress the way we want to see it or there is a turd of TA then we can react as necessary.

Hanna's has not been a CA for very long and he is already a big player on the no fly list. The new hires are actually passing around a list with his name on it. He should never be in a position to represent our pilot group.

First post. I normally just watch from the sidelines. I'm not a committee member or in any other position in ALPA.
A few things:
Not everyone that signed that petition realized what they were signing, or the ripples that it would cause. They didn't realize that there was an ulterior motive behind the petition - I'm sure we'll get to that in due course.
MH turned up at the FLL meeting last night and was rude/disruptive. Wouldn't quiet down, to let others speak. Forced his agenda (shared by the DFW 4, I'm sure). Was eventually escorted out. SM and PS didn't threaten him, as he told everyone on the whatsapp group. The only people that back up his version of events are the Kiwi and a few other vocal voices. I never saw Bendo there, but if he was, it's funny that MH showed up to cause problems at the same time....
The ORD, DFW and FLL whatsapp groups are moderated by friends of MH or CB (Audi). Why would a DFW FO moderate the ORD group? Is someone controlling the narrative?
MH left Chautauqua under a cloud. I was there. He's remembered fondly as a pathological liar/borderline sociopath. More to come on that.
CB has a colorful history also. More later.

Why would this stuff matter? Quite simply, character matters.

Do you want to push back negotiations another year? Southwest negotiated for 3 years before this latest TA. We need to settle down and plan for at least another year of this. If you have concerns, call a rep. Vote. MH is an agent provocateur. Everything he does/has a hand in, should be viewed objectively. The FLL drama was carefully staged. MH is no victim and he certainly isn't a leader.

I look forward to your comments and attacks.

This thread is getting way to depressing. Now for a little humor. Look what I found. You just can't make this stuff up.

ugh, another new login from the same group of 4 of you? Let me save you the trouble, I am CB, I got a DUI in 1999, do a little search on here, this has been so overplayed, I got no secrets. Justmeagain, you know who I am, PM me with your name and tell me your "colorful" facts about me. You guys just don't quit, try utilizing facts instead of slinging mud. I was not at the meeting, but there were quite a few witnesses that claim quite the opposite of what you are claiming, as a matter of fact almost 20 signatures from attendees at the event, solidified by the behavior encountered by union reps.
Once again, there is no ulterior motive, just many of us fed up at the feet dragging by the company and this petition supports the NC and forces the company to move faster. 329 supporters, almost 25% of Spirit pilots support this, keep it going! Can you all put down the keyboard tough guy act for a bit and see that the NC is getting support from many who never did before? This petition is bringing support from all sides.
