Honestly dude, I don't believe that for a second. Ultimately what will end up happening is by the time we we get a contract it will be a wash and equate to what our management (both NKS & F9) offered initially. TIME, VALUE, , MONEY. This is especially true when we talk about our retirement. Delaying as long as they plan will of course work out in managements favor, it always does.
They will delay as long as they have until one of three things happen.
1. Economic collapse
2. Merger
3. Until their hand is forced by the RLA and who are we kidding, if it ever gets to that point they could pay us FedEx rates and they would still have saved money by delaying it as long as they did.
It's really frustrating and I try not to stress over it but I can't help but shake my F----- head with each new podcast and company video of them telling us "how much they appreciAte their employees"

See you in dfw ok the 11th?
And can someone tell me who the genius architect was in '10 that decided training on days off was a good idea? Pure insanity! If your training falls in a holiday month where you would typically bid to have very specific days off or a vacation touch, along comes crew train with fukcing sim days!!!!!!

Been here 9 months. Reserve. This trip, Day 1 was just dh from DTW to the overnight. I don't live in DTW. Called for an alternate deadhead to start the trip. Granted. Called back to ask about the ground transportation provider to get me to the hotel when I get there.
The scheduler told me that by doing an alternate dh, that cancels my hotel room and ground transportation.
1. Is this true?
2. Is this really true?

Not asking you to use Fatigue as a weapon, but merely saying that everyone needs sleep.
1. That is true
2 That is really true.

Well if they insist on number 3, you can bet I'm coming for my FedEx money and not settle just to settle like the FAs did after 9 years

There is ZERO good reason why we shouldn't be bidding for all of our training as well. Bid for training prior to line bidding. Then once training is awarded, you line bid and trips drop out (credit is greater of training footprint or schedule) if they touch the training footprint, just like vacation!!!

Of course, pilots who have vacation touch multiple trips are financially no better off because more hours just get deducted from vacation bank. I usually try to avoid my vacation weeks touching two trips because I like using float vacation more than a fixed week of vacation.
