I don't think it's that. It's lifers here trying to tell incoming pilots that they're losers and this place is horrendous. Please Leave!
I hope to hell I never I have to sit next to you guys for 20 hours:

Im sure the sharks and trolls will soon start coming down on my post but again, honest question.
It's a legit question, and I look at it differently I guess. To me, we're doing them a favor by steering them away and the harsh response is meant to really drive it home. The fewer people we attract, the faster we get a contract and make this place worth while. I suppose it's a crude tactic.

The bitterness is real though. The morale here is lower than whale sh!t right now. Why would anyone want to come and be the second lowest paid Airbus pilot, with NO upgrade in sight at all for anyone hired today? Every captain we need for the current aircraft order is already on property unless attrition picks way up or another order is placed.

As for me, yeah, I took the job, but when I did the pay disparity was nowhere near what it is today, and I upgraded in under 3 years. That's not happening today. I'd love to get out too because a contract is nowhere in sight.

Before we get too far along, here's the link back to Part II for those with a morbid curiosity on the previous train wreck.

Haha. "Train wreck" or a lot of truth?

I say "truth"

Or in another way 25-30 thousand for a type rating times 67. That's close to 2 million a year. I'd hate to be a manager in charge of that kind of loss
You guys still do use Airbus MIA for training? Usually new aircraft orders and deliveries get training credits from Airbus. The type rating ends up being a lot cheaper for the airline customer.
