Lol sorry....perhaps I should clarify. When compared to legacy options, Spirit sucks. I'd leave this industry completely before I'd subject myself to the RJ **show again. You must be new to this game if you think flows are iron clad.

Even under the current contract, Spirit year 2 FO pay is what a year 5 captain pay is at Envoy. Enjoy the 4 on 2 off, pre assigned rap 1's, 7 year upgrades, pay cuts for year 2 and 3, and an airline that is still guaranteed to shrink by over a third.

It's sad that this conversation is even taking place.

Ah, but you are wrong on several points.

Upgrade is currently at 5 years and plummeting.
Shrinking has stopped. Growth coming.
5 year captain pay at Envoy won't matter compared to Spirit FO pay when you upgrade in 1.5 and flow in 5 years and change.

I'm just saying Envoy is a great option for you guys to get out of that cesspool and get to AA. If you made the move today, you would likely be at American before your new contract is TA'd.

In "5 years and change" the world could flip eleven times.

You're joking right? You sound like you're new to 121 and things will always be rainbows, candy canes and kittens. Ask the guys at eagle, oops I mean envoy why they been there for 15+ years. We're you even at eagle when it was called eagle?

Yup, spoke to a guy last week that was finally flowing to AA from Eagle (Envoy). His hire date? 2000. Pre Sept 11th and he is now flowing.

Growth? They had 240 airplanes and 3200 pilots 6 years ago and are about 30% less than that now. Guess who paid for that "growth?" The eagle pilots courtesy of a concessionary contract from a company that declared chp 11 with $5 billion in cash in the bank. Why are they offering signing bonuses if everything is rainbows? Don't get me wrong, it may not be a bad place to be in the regional world, but just wait and have fun in a couple years when you're pitted against piedmont and psa to see who can stoop the lowest to keep their planes.

I'd go to AA from spirit without giving it much thought, but they have a tough road ahead. Gave up a lot of things to get the pay rate they have and now they about 6th in the pack for compensation and a crappy quality of life to boot. Might want to find a different thread to spread your company cheerleading.
