Hopefully we get some details tonight on how our boys did in bargaining this week. My rep only had some limited details. Anyone hear more?

I'm also hearing our DFW LEC resolution will be voted on at the next Executive Council meeting. We should know the outcome before our next LEC77 meeting.

This is not important right now. Why you care about this more than a contract blows my mind

We in DFW care about both. Say this drags out a couple more years and 400-500 additional pilots are hired or a new domicile opens potentially? Progress does not stop on other fronts.

As someone that has been a member of all three of our councils I cannot understand what your beef is. It seems to be some sort of power grab. Not sure why or how, maybe to sabatoge the NC in some way. I just don't get it.

It honsestly isn't a big deal to me but because it's such a big deal to a few of you I'm interested to understand the agenda because there clearly is one

The LEC18 meeting is in ACY this month and you don't see the ord and dtw crying about it.

So let's get the real answer on why dfw having its own LEC is so important.

The "Few"? Dafaq

230 of the 1,550 on property that would like to have a voice.

I'd venture to say that the "few" in DFW are far more active and vocal than the other bases. No complacency over here with these guys/gals. They want to affect change and make things happen.

I know of 1 leaving in March. FO, <1 year, Delta.

Other than that, I know of no other FO's (or Capts) and have flown with skills from F16, B52 to single engine 135 drivers. All great dudes, good skills, <1 year, none looking to leave.

I do know of a Capt who received an invite for a Delta interview, but after further consideration decided he was not interested. Good seniority, good qol, holding out for the new contract were his reasonings. Different strokes for different folks. Do what's best for YOUR career and let others worry theirs.

Read the ALPA C&BL's and you'll find the answer.
Hint: Local Representation. As usual, our officers of 77 still haven't held the required LEC meeting per the C&BL's, due months ago. They are the official forums of discussion and interaction between the membership and officers. They can't even manage to hold required meetings (again). It's simply time for DFW pilots to elect their own local reps and conduct our own LOCAL business. All LAS based 77 officers might think that's not important. We beg to disagree.
By the way...PUB events are not meetings where resolutions and official business can be conducted.
Remember the IAH unity event when JA introduced himself as the "Las Vegas FO rep"? We all immediately stared at him and RP caught it a couple of seconds later, jumped up and said "and DFW too."
Want another reason?
